Ligue 1's 2026-27 season runs 22 August 2026 to 29 May 2027 β 18 clubs, 34 matchdays, 306 matches, all loaded here with kick-off times converted to your timezone.
Opening matchday Ligue 1 does something the other big-five leagues do not: the entire opening round kicks off simultaneously. All nine matches start at the same time on Saturday 22 August.
- Paris Saint-Germain vs Rennes
- Marseille vs Strasbourg
- Lens vs Auxerre
- Le Mans vs Brest
- Troyes vs Paris FC
- Nice vs Lorient
- Angers vs Lille
- Toulouse vs Lyon
- Le Havre vs Monaco
Toulouse vs Lyon is the most interesting of the nine on paper, and the presence of Le Mans and Troyes points to a reshaped division. Two Paris clubs in the same top flight β PSG and Paris FC β adds a fixture the league has not had in a long time.
A note on last season's table Our data provider has already reset the Ligue 1 standings for the new season, so we do not currently hold a verified 2025-26 final table.
We are not going to fill that in from memory. Everything published here traces back to data we actually hold β the reasoning is in our editorial policy, and it is the same standard that keeps our losing picks visible. The table on the Ligue 1 hub will build from matchday one and be accurate from the first result.
Key dates - 22 August 2026 β season opens, all nine matches simultaneously - 29 May 2027 β final matchday - Complete schedule: Ligue 1 fixtures
Through the season Like the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 runs 18 teams and 34 matchdays, so form samples build more slowly than in England, Spain or Italy. Judging a side on four matches in September is judging it on roughly 12% of a season.
Every fixture gets an automated preview generated from verified data, bookmaker odds comparison with the best price highlighted, and desk analysis when our analysts find a signal worth publishing. Picks are permanent β the full record, including losses and closing line value, is public on the records page.
